The Nintendo DS is among the most popular handheld games of all time. Its iconic value is right up there with this of the Game Boy along with the PSP. There were some wonderful games to the machine and sometimes it’s a lot easier to keep those games in your phone compared to take around a second device to play with them. Sadly, development of the Nintendo DS emulator platform remains is a tiny niche so that there aren’t a ton of choices to select from. Nevertheless, we did find a few that worked well so here would be the finest Nintendo DS emulators available for the Android!
It is quite old and hasn’t received an update in a little while, but it may do the job nicely when you have an older device.
DraStic DS Emulator is possibly the top of the Nintendo DS emulators at this time. Throughout our testing, then it performed pretty much every single game we threw in it. There are probably not a lot of games which don’t get the job done correctly. The emulator comes with a lot of features, including screen design customization, control customization, support for hardware controllers, fast forwards, Google Drive support, and higher end devices may delight in some improved graphics rendering if they so choose. That is less costly than it used to be. It is a fantastic bargain. This is the one we’d recommend first by a long shot. The remaining emulators on this list are only in case this one does not work for any reason.
EmuBox is a more recent emulator with a whole lot of systems that are compatible. Including PlayStation, SNES, and yes, Nintendo DS. This is only one of those very few emulators with Material Design. This makes it good looking. Luckily, in addition, it works okay. We didn’t have some severe problems playing the games we’ve tested. Many have lamented some bugs using the emulator when using a lot of cheat codes, but otherwise the Google Play reviews are also largely positive. It is a completely free emulator with advertising. We hope a pro model without advertisements comes eventually.
NDS Emulator is just one of the newer Nintendo DS emulators. It has all the fundamental features such as external control aid, save states, load conditions, and customizable on-screen game pads. It played most of the games we attempted during testing too. It is far from ideal and there are bugs. Nonetheless, this is one of the better free Nintendo DS emulators available. There are ads and they are somewhat annoying. We would have liked a means to pay to remove them. It is not the one we would recommend initially, but it is definitely in the top five.
RetroArch is an all-in-one emulator. It supports a variety of game programs. That includes the Nintendo DS, Game Boy, SNES, Game Boy Advance, and plenty of non-Nintendo systems. You have to download and set up every system separately within the program. That means you will have to download this, capture the Nintendo DS heart, then you can finally play matches. It supports all the basic capabilities. It’s not the simplest to use. However, it’s completely free with no in-app buys or advertisements. It is also in active development at this time.
SuperNDS is your latest Nintendo DS emulator on the list. It supports NDS, ZIP, 7z, and RAR file forms also contains the majority of the stuff you would expect in an emulator such as save countries and other similar things. It’s a rather basic emulator without a ton of attributes and it might take some digging into the configurations to get it working correctly. It does crash more frequently than we’d like to view, but it’s newer than most so here’s hoping future updates fix that.
